Customers now have easy access to the data they need when they need it without having to jump from one object to another.
To help keep data clean and easy to locate, HubSpot is introducing Sync Properties. This new property type eliminates the need for manual entry or workflows to copy over information from one property to another across different objects.
What is it?
Currently, sales reps have to duplicate their property data, manually keeping it in sync or creating workflows to copy property values from one object to another. Sync Properties means less time-consuming workarounds and ensures your data is consistently updated and aligned across objects.
How it Works
- Click on Settings in the upper right corner.
- On the left side, scroll down to Properties under Data Management.
- Click on “Create property.”
- Select your Object type, Group, Label, Description (optional) and click “Next.”
- Click on the field type dropdown and scroll down to the bottom. Select "Property sync." Click “Next.”
- Choose the source record type and the source record property to copy.
- Specify which record to copy the value from.
- Finally, choose an association label (optional) and an operator. Current operators are "first record created" and "most recently created."
