The workflows tool has gotten a new, updated look. Users across all HubSpot products and service levels rely on workflow automation, and this tool improvement will positively impact all users.
Creating Simplicity
Building workflows can be one of the most complex and overwhelming tasks a HubSpot user faces. Identifying which actions are correct for your workflow may be daunting for many due to the sheer number of choices. Workflows can become complex and sprawling and, therefore, difficult to understand at a glance.
HubSpot recognized the need for an improved workflow experience for all skill levels. Through this redesign, HubSpot has created a simplified and guided building experience. This improvement focuses on creating a process that instills confidence and clarity, making it easier to discover and use new functionality.
Why It Matters
The redesign strives for a concise, efficient balance. Action and trigger cards are focused on the crucial details and keep the big picture of the workflow clean and clear. The action panel has become more structured and searchable with improved contextual guidance to help choose the right action for the right job.
How it Works
The action panel plays an important role in this improved experience. The most used routing and logic actions appear at the top. All other actions are organized below the most used choices into four categories based on function.
Action cards have also received a makeover. They now appear more consistent in size, with a streamlined structure to highlight the most essential information about each action. Functions like the clone, move, copy and delete actions are shown as icons at the bottom of the cards, making these functions quick and easy to access.
