The CRM index page (where you manage your Contacts, Companies, Deals and custom objects) is the literal command center of your day-to-day workflow. HubSpot has completely overhauled this interface with a cleaner layout, a simplified toolbar and high-performance pipeline boards to help you manage your records with fewer clicks.
The Update
The CRM index page has received a major usability upgrade. In the Table view, you’ll find a simplified toolbar, redesigned tabs for pinned views and a persistent right-side panel that keeps the "Edit Columns" button instantly accessible no matter how far you scroll. Meanwhile, the Board view has been visually refreshed and given deep, stage-level operational controls.
The Setup
Navigate Smarter: Open your main CRM lists (Deals, Tickets or Contacts). The redesigned toolbar now surfaces pipelines, filters and sorting tools natively at the top of your screen.
Quick-Edit Columns: Drag and drop columns smoothly or use the new CMD+SHIFT+L keyboard shortcut to pop open the column editor instantly.
Leverage Board Controls: Switch to Board view and look at the top of any pipeline lane. You can now use the new lane-level controls to:
-
Set custom colors for pipeline stages.
-
Add new records directly into that specific column.
- Build stage-specific automations without leaving the board layout.

Availability
This platform-wide update is available to all HubSpot hubs and tiers.
The Advantage
We love this because it solves the small, daily annoyances that add up over a work week. The persistent "Edit Columns" rail and the board-level automation shortcuts are massive quality-of-life updates. It effectively turns your Deal board from a passive visual chart into an active workspace where you can build automation and organize data on the fly.
The Bottom Line
HubSpot is trimming the fat from its core database interface. By prioritizing speed, visual clarity and layout customization, this streamlined index ensures your team can focus less on wrestling with the software and more on moving relationships forward.
