Let’s be honest–managing access to sensitive subscription data in HubSpot used to be a bit of a balancing act. Give too much access, and you risk data exposure. Restrict it too much, and productivity suffers. But now? HubSpot admins, rejoice. You finally have the precision control you’ve been waiting for.
HubSpot has rolled out new Subscriptions permissions, giving administrators the power to define exactly who can view, edit, delete and manage payment settings related to subscription data. Whether you're running a tight sales team or managing a growing business, this update is a big win for data security and operational clarity.
Subscription data often includes sensitive customer information, pricing details and billing terms–stuff you don’t want just anyone poking around in. With these new permissions, you can ensure only the right people have access, reducing risk and improving compliance.
Admins can now customize Subscriptions permissions at the user level by navigating to:
Sales > Billing > Subscriptions.
Here’s what’s new:
• When creating new users, admins can now set view, edit and delete permissions for subscriptions.
• Users without the correct permissions will be blocked from viewing or modifying subscriptions.
What about existing users?
• All existing users will retain view permissions by default.
• Users who previously had the payments permission enabled, now have the subscription edit/delete permissions by default.
All hubs and tiers.
