AEO is quickly becoming just as important as SEO. If you’re not focusing on AEO when creating your content, you could be missing out on some valuable visibility. HubSpot has recently released a new public beta that recommends and generates AEO-optimized blog posts directly within the AEO tool. Here’s why it matters and how it works.
The AEO tool helps identify opportunities where your brand isn't appearing in the answer engine results. Previously, acting on those recommendations required manual effort and starting from scratch.
This update streamlines the process of creating AEO content by automatically turning recommendations into draft blog posts. For marketing teams producing content at scale, it can significantly reduce the time between identifying an opportunity and publishing optimized content.
To generate content from a recommendation, follow these steps:
Navigate to Marketing > AEO
In the AEO tool, click the Recommendations tab.
Select Owned content in the left panel and open a recommendation.
Review the recommendation overview, then click Generate blog post.
HubSpot’s content agent will automatically research the topic and help structure your post for answer engine optimization. Generation may take a few moments, so you’ll get a handy notification in your email when it’s complete.
You must first request access to this beta. This feature is currently available to Marketing Hub Professional and Marketing Hub Enterprise plans. Keep in mind that the content agent uses credits when it successfully generates a blog post from an AEO recommendation.
Each blog post does cost around 1,000 credits, which is roughly $10. We don’t really enjoy or agree with HubSpot's new credit system, but most plans already include a few credits you can use if you want to test this feature out.
This is a useful update for content teams. Instead of just getting a recommendation and then having to figure out the next step, users can move straight into creating a blog post. It makes the content process feel more connected and can help marketers act on SEO and AEO opportunities faster.
