Introducing AI Chatbot for Live Chat, designed to provide your website with a seamless GPT-powered chat experience. With this new feature, businesses can deliver personalized responses to their visitors within minutes, eliminating the need to craft rule-based bots or always have a front-office team member in charge. Let AI take initial control of your live chat, respond to your customers when it's confident and transfer to a team member when it's not.
How it Works
- In the menu bar, click on Automations then AI Chatbot.
- Click ”Setup Now” in the upper right.
- Choose the Knowledge Base articles and/or publicly available URLs your AI chatbot will use to generate responses. Note: any updates to your HubSpot-hosted Knowledge Base articles will automatically sync with your AI chatbot.
- Click Save.
- Your AI Chatbot should now be created, but it’s not yet ready to have conversations with your visitors. Before that, you’ll want to create a chatflow with live chat and connect it to the conversations inbox or help desk workspace. To create a chatflow, click “Live Chat” and follow the steps.
- Next, assign your AI Chatbot to the live chat chatflow you previously set up. Here, you’ll also want to define your welcome message and assign the team member who will respond when users need a live agent.
- In the Build tab of the live chat setup, you can preview the Welcome Message and Assignment behavior set in the previous step. When you're done setting up your live chat, in the top right, click Preview to review the responses your AI will generate.
- Publish your AI Chatbot to your website by toggling the switch on in the upper right corner of the page and you’re done!
Going forward, if you want to update any of the content your AI Chatbot uses, simply navigate to the AI Chatbot feature to add or remove any sources.
